2023 Kia K5 oil type

About 25k miles in, I took my 2023 Kia K5 to dealership for some oil change and routine maintenance but I'm surprised when they used full synthetic oil! Isn't there any issue if I've been using just the regular oil since? I was only told after the maintenance work was done.

Using regular oil before full synthetic isn't usually harmful if changed regularly, switching to synthetic now can improve protection and performance, but just keep up with the recommended oil changes.

Hold up, the K5 is using 0W-20 oil and as far as I know those come just as fully synthetic, correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, there are more benefit to these kinds of oils than drawbacks, so I would stick to the fully synthetic stuff.
