I just want to ask if you guys ever tried replacing your wheels on your K5? I got a 2022 GT and I am eyeing a replacement but I'm still trying to think if I should get the TPMS transmitters also. What's the pro and con of getting it? Or is it required?

You can reuse your TPMS sensors if theyre installed properly in the new wheels, they should work fine without reprogramming. Just make sure a good shop does the swap so they don’t damage them theyre pricey. No need to buy new TPMS kits, even if the tire shop tries to upsell you. I’ve seen cases where the sensors took a while to sync, but they eventually did on their own.

Yeah, I swapped the wheels on my K5 GT and got new TPMS sensors with them, without TPMS, you'll get a warning light and lose tire pressure monitoring which isn't ideal. It's not legally required everywhere, but definitely recommended for safety

I switched mine out as well. The TPMS keeps the dashboard light off and ensures your pressure readings are accurate, though the downside is it adds extra costs. While it's not mandatory, I'd reccommend getting them. Which wheels are you looking at?

If you're swapping wheels and want to keep the TPMS light off, you're gonna need new sensors orrrr transfer the old ones. It's not required but skipping it means no tire pressure warnings. Do we like that? Don't know. Is it safe? Nah. So better safe than sorry for this.
