Dashcam suggestions

My dad is giving me his 2021 Kia K5 and first thing I want to add is a dascham. I don't know how he survived without one LOL

I want something low profile and easy to install, like something I can just plug into the USB port since I'm not familiar with all those wirings. I also prefer dashcams that I can mount up the rear view mirror.

He must be either a very good driver or a very lucky one for sure. LOL. Anyway, go check out stuff like the Garmin Mini 2 or VIOFO A119 Mini, they're both compact and lowkey, mount discreetly near the rearview mirror and it should run off a USB port. Both are pretty easy to install and dont require hardwiring. Just make sure your USB port provides power while the car is on ofc

Go with the Garmin Mini 2, super small, mounts behind the mirror, and runs off USB, tested and trusted by my friend, buh If you want something with like a screen, Viofo WM1 is good

Completely agree with this @im.a.k5er... Garmin Mini 2 all day if you want small and forget-it's-there vibes. I mean that's what I'm getting from your post anyway. For this one, you just plug it in and it will do its magic.

If you want something simple and low profile, go for a dash cam that plugs straight into the USB port and one that mounts near the rearview mirror for a clean setup, it makes installation easy and keeps things neat without messing with wiring
